This is a Philmore Phono Pre-Amplifier model PHIPRE600. This stereo/phono pre-amplifier will allow you to replace a crystal or ceramic stereo cartridge with a better quality magnetic stereo cartridge while using the original stereo amplifier supplied with your turntable. The use of this pre-amplifier in conjunction with a magnetic cartridge will give you CD quality sound out of your vintage turntable. This pre-amplifier will allow you to take phono signals to line-level. Use this to amplify and interface with mixers, main or monitor systems, audio workstations or sound cards. Uses standard RCA-RCA dual phono cables (not included) with easy in/out plug-ins and works with all magnetic cartridges. This pre-amplifier allows the use of turntables on newer equipment not having a discrete “Phono” input. With this device you can plug into newer equipment using their AUX, DVD, TAPE or CD line level inputs. Since many modern amplifiers no longer have a dedicated phono input, the phono box mm from Pro-Ject is the perfect addition to your turntable setup. Compatible with nearly any moving magnet cartridge, the phono box mm gives you a superb audiophile music experience at an entry-level price. The utilization of advanced circuitry keeps noise and distortion extremely low, and the metallic case and outboard DC power supply keeps the unit free from electromagnetic interference. Since it’s only slightly larger than a pack of playing cards, the phono box mm can be placed nearly anywhere. The RCA input and output sockets are gold-plated to preserve sound quality and can be connected directly to any line-level input (aux, CD, Etc.) on your amplifier.
